2. Preston West Golf Course

Preston West Golf Course is 2nd most top-reviewed able public golf course located at Coulter Street, Amarillo, near Cinemark Hollywood 16 and XD. This Course is fine in range, great for beginners, and an excellent place for the inexperienced golfer with 9 holes. Preston West Golf Course is fully crowded with men, women and kids. The Course has so much potential and is suitable for kids. A few greens had areas of mass flooding. It hasn’t rained in weeks, so that’s highly questionable by my experience all in all a fun place for a round of less than $20. This place is good for practicing and hitting the balls.

3. Comanche Trail Golf Complex

Comanche Trail Golf Complex was opened in July 1990, owned and designed by a famous golfer Mr. Charles Howard in Austin, Texas. It offers a large number of facilities like events, golf championships, major area golf courses, charity functions, wedding functions, civic golf tournaments, public golf championships, church, family gatherings, and customers outage gatherings, including an extensive full-length diving range, practice short and long shorts, and two large practice greens with chipping areas.

The greens are burning up and terrible. You lose your ball in the fairway or 5-10 feet off the greens. The course is in terrible shape, especially compared to Ross Rogers Golf Course. Most of the wood steps are dangerous to use. The carts have all the GPS taken out of them and barely run. The one we had today couldn’t turn right and sounded like we were dragging the transmission.

Comanche Trail Golf Complex is one of the best golf courses, having a Google rating of 4.5/5. In my list of Golf Courses in Amarillo, this one is the most beautiful golf for all types of golfers like men, women, and kids.

4. Disc Creek Disc Golf Course

The course was established in 1989. The rolling slopes with the long, ancient elms cover a large area, making it a beautiful sight. The multiple streams add to the difficulties. For both the beginner and the experienced, they have a variety of options to choose from. Each hole in the wall’s dual basket position varied monthly. Thompson Park was once a place where trash was put down, and there are still a lot of pieces of glass around. We are powerless against this situation. It is buried underground. Since most of the slopes have been filled in, the holes that were worst are now mostly better in too. So, this place is playable now.

Amenities

  • Dog Allowed
  • The Course is very lengthy with plenty of trees and open places
  • The direction of the holes is all over the place
  • Restroom
